Starkweather & Shepley Acquires Newport Insurance Group
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – July 13, 2020 – Starkweather & Shepley Insurance Brokerage Inc. (S&S) is pleased to announce the recent acquisition of Newport Insurance Agency Inc. (NIA). Located in Middletown RI and with 13 associates on staff, Newport Insurance is an independent agency serving commercial and personal lines clients throughout southern New England. “We are really looking forward to integrating Newport Insurance with Starkweather & Shepley” stated Dave Galvin. “S & S’s commitment to their clients, associates and the communities they operate in is embedded in their mission and culture which all of us at NIA could connect with”.
