Starkweather & Shepley Insurance Brokerage Inc. (S&S) has elected Elizabeth Lowe to the Board of Directors. Lowe, President of Custom House Risk Advisors (CHRA), is the first female on the Board in the company’s history. “I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to serve on and be a part of such a prestigious board that is both rich in history and full of progress and potential,” Lowe stated. As President of CHRA, Lowe leads Starkweather’s Real Estate Risk Solutions, an industry specific practice group focused solely on assisting and guiding Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), Private Equity Investment firms, and other large Real Estate Owners, Managers and Developers towards successful and efficient risk solutions faced by the complex real estate marketplace.

Prior to joining S&S, Lowe was a Senior Risk Management Consultant at Robert M. Currey & Associates of Boston, MA where she worked for over seven years. She is a Licensed Insurance Advisor, as well as a member of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, and the Massachusetts & Federal Bars. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware and is a cum laude graduate from Suffolk Law School in Boston, MA. She currently resides in Walpole, MA with her family.
