Starkweather & Shepley Insurance Brokerage Inc. Strides Toward a Better Future at Gloria Gemma 5K
PROVIDENCE, RI OCTOBER 2025 – Starkweather & Shepley Insurance Brokerage, Inc. proudly participated in the Gloria Gemma 5K, held at Station Park and throughout historic Providence, Rhode Island. This year marked the sixth consecutive year Starkweather & Shepley has supported this inspiring event, which raises vital funds for the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation’s free programs, support services, and wellness resources for individuals and families affected by cancer.
As both a sponsor and active participant, Starkweather & Shepley was represented by more than 50 employees who walked and ran in support of the cause.
The Gloria Gemma 5K is part of the larger Flames of Hope: A Celebration of Life weekend – Rhode Island’s signature event honoring breast cancer survivors and remembering those lost. Throughout the weekend, downtown Providence was filled with energy and inspiration as hundreds of walkers, runners, survivors, families, and community supporters turned out in pink to show solidarity, strength, and hope in the ongoing fight against breast cancer.
