Starkweather & Shepley Insurance Brokerage Inc. (S&S) has promoted Michael Prentiss to Assistant Vice President. In addition to this new role, Michael also manages the Manufacturing Practice Group, working specifically with manufacturing, construction, real estate, wholesale and distribution clients in Connecticut. As a commercial lines producer, Michael is responsible for establishing new accounts, as well as maintaining an existing book of business.
Michael commented, “I am honored to be named Assistant Vice President with Starkweather & Shepley. I look forward to Starkweather’s continued growth, and being part of the team for years to come.”
Before joining S&S in 2015 as an Account Executive, Michael was an Account Executive with Arthur J. Gallagher in Hartford, CT. He is a member of multiple associations and organizations including the Smaller Manufacturers Association of CT, the Bristol Chamber of Commerce, and the Rhode Island Manufacturers Association.
Michael graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic, CT with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Marketing. He currently resides in Bristol, CT with his wife, Gina, and daughter, McKenzie.
