Theresa D’Orsi Recognized as Industry Leader for the 2022 Business Women Awards Program

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI JUNE 2022 – Providence Business News has named Starkweather and Shepley Insurance Brokerage Inc. (S&S), Vice President Theresa D’Orsi, as an honoree of the 2022 Business Women Awards Program. This year’s awards program recognized 30 women.

This program honors the success of women in a variety of industries (including health care, legal, accounting, and social services, among others), recognizing younger, professional Women to Watch as well as experienced Industry Leaders. Theresa is being recognized as Professional Services in the Industry Leaders category.

“Women are still very underrepresented in the construction industry,” Theresa said. However, “mentorship can help close the gender gap in construction,” she continued. She is extremely passionate about working with clients and always thinking outside the box for solutions.

Theresa joined the S&S team in 2016 with outstanding experience, working in the insurance industry for 37 years. She represents construction firms throughout New England and provides these clients with personalized assessments and customized insurance programs tailored to their unique construction business risks.
