Starkweather & Shepley Walks To Support Breast Cancer Awareness at Gloria Gemma 5K

Providence, RI — October 6th, 2024, was a day of energy, hope, and community spirit as Starkweather & Shepley Insurance Brokerage Inc. proudly sponsored and participated in the Gloria Gemma 5K. For over five years, we’ve stood alongside this incredible cause, but this year, our dedication soared to new heights with more than 40 of our associates lacing up their running shoes and taking part in this inspiring event.

As our team hit the pavement, we weren’t just running for the finish line—we were running to make a difference. Through generous donations and heartfelt participation, we helped raise vital support for the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation, an organization that provides free, life-changing services to individuals and families affected by breast cancer across Rhode Island, southeastern Massachusetts, and eastern Connecticut.

As Chair, Andrew Fotopulos commented, “I am incredibly proud to see over 40 participants of our associates and their families come together for this charitable walk to fight breast cancer. Their dedication and passion not only raise vital funds but also inspire hope for those affected by this disease. Together, we are making a meaningful impact in the fight against breast cancer, and I couldn’t be more grateful for our amazing team.”
